FAQ
TOP 7 QUESTIONS WE HEAR FROM PATIENTS
Will it hurt?
With Invisalign there are no sharp edges and wires so there is much less rubbing on cheeks lips and tongue. The teeth gently move over a period of time and a lot of our patients comment they feel comfortable with the pressures they experience.
How long does it take?
Everyone is different. An average Invisalign treatment is about 20 to 25 aligners, this equates to 40 to 50 weeks. When we do your planning we will be able to give you a better idea.
How much does it cost?
Invisalign treatments can range from $6500 to $9500 depending on the difficulty of your treatment. After a thorough assessment of your teeth we can give you a better idea on your costs. We also have a number of different payment options. Call us to see what we can offer you.
What are attachments?
Attachments are small amounts of specially shaped composite resin (the same colour as your teeth) that are bonded onto your teeth. The Invisalign aligners fit over these attachments and make the movements of your teeth more efficient. They are easy to clean and maintain. They are easily polished off at the end of treatment.
Am I suitable?
We find that most people are suitable for Invisalign. We are happy to give you a free consultation to see if you are!
Can I eat with Invisalign?
You cannot eat with the Invisalign aligners in your mouth. The aligners are easily removed for eating. This also means you can eat normally and your teeth are easier to clean without having wires and metal braces in the way.
How often do I have to come for an appointment?
In most cases we catch up with you every six weeks to monitor your progress and give you the next set of aligners.
